SAP Introduction

  •  SAP is Enterprise Resource Planning product. SAP stands for System Application and Products in real time data processing. It was introduced in 1972 at Walldorf, Germany.  It is multilingual software. Requires user-based license agreement for usage. (means it requires login id and password to access SAP environment to work on)
  • SAP has 3 tier architecture
  • Net Weaver in an integrated technology platform that supports various SAP applications:

  1. SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
  2. SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management)
  3. SAP SRM (Supply Relationship Management)
  4. SAP PI (Process Integration)

  • ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming): ABAP is the programming language for SAP. It lies on application layer.

      • FICO (Finance and Controlling)
      • HCM (Human Capital Management)
    • Technical modules
      • BASIS
